Avatar: The representation of the divine in earthly form; crossing over, the
bridge between the spiritual and the corporeal.
Ragavatar: The earthly presence of the music of the spheres, a blessing
both rare and divine, in the physical form of the great masters
who have passed Nad Brahma – the sound of God - through the centuries.
Ragavatar: World Music Consort:
1. A musical homage and celebration of the teachings of the masters of the Baba Allauddin Maihar Gharana,
especially the compositional masterpieces of Allauddin Khan, Ali Akbar Khan and Aashish Khan.
2. An artistic coalition between diverse world music styles in recognition of the many contributions and
multi-hued voices that vibrate the body, elevate the spirit and open the heart.
3. A spiritual energy focused on the power of transformation through sacred sound to increase the presence
